My Bio
I was raised in the darkroom, and on the fine art photography of Edward Weston, Diane Arbus, and Ansel Adams. My father took me shooting with him regularly and taught me how to look at light, how to see. He gave me my first camera (Olympus RC); I made my first black & white print at the age of 7. I am passionate about the natural, candid beauty of people and things. I believe street photography is a little window into the heart and soul of a place, a time, and the people in it. The world is beautiful, life is a gorgeous ongoing journey, and I try to capture that with my camera. I still mainly shoot black & white film and it will always be my favorite medium, but I have also (reluctantly) embraced the digital format.
Cautiously peeking back into DA after. . . . 4 . . . . years. . . . or so away

I have been photographing a LOT lately; I'm still not even caught up processing all the film.  As much as I love it, I am hoping for a little lull now so that I can sort through my negatives and at least get them all spot-cleaned : )  Darkroom construction is being discussed in earnest and should still be starting around the end of this month. One of the things in my mind right now, since I have been doing so much street work, is whether or not I am crossing too many lines with my photography.  Am I invading peoples' privacy too much?  This is a constant argument I have with myself.  In looking at some of the negatives, I think oh man I love
